Well I've meant to do this one for a while now, but just never had the time. Above is my second cat(and final), named " ". She is still nameless. I've had her for about a month or so. I really need to name her soon. Her story is this. My sister lives near me. She noticed her neighbor had been feeding this kitten. I guess he left town for a bit and my sister was affraid one of his dogs would get her. So, she had my uncle take her down to the Humane Society in Omaha. I hear about this later and become bugged. I'd never even seen the cat, but just hearing she was playful as my uncle took her down, and picturing this cat that was free as can be now stuck in some cage, for who knows what future,...well it was getting to me. They don't adopt out every animal that go into these places. My thought is if you are able to do something you probably should, if it's something near your "reach". My brain works like this. I quickly feel guilty by not doing something. My other cat needed a buddy anyway, so it was a no brainer, even if I wasn't sure I could afford another cat. So now I have two cats I can feel sorry for, now that I have them trapped inside my apartment, where they are no longer free. That bugs me too, but what's a person to do. I want to let them both be free, but it's not that kind of a world out there. It really does bug me when I put myself in their position. I'd probably crave just walking around in the grass again. Sigh, that's a sad confusing situation all by itself. It just seems wrong to me to even have pets(but it has to be I guess), yet I sure as hell don't feel like I could just send them off to get run over or whatever. I'll never know what the right thing to do is I guess. In a perfect world there'd be no pets, and if there were, it'd be up to them to be so. I'm strange, I know. I figure if things have to be this way and nothing is their choice, one should help them live a decent life the best they can.

The two paw'd cat head! Here is Chase, my other cat. My plan was to use the ultra-wide angle lens to get some funny streched perspectives. This is one. He's not in anguish like he looks here. He's got plenty of room under this tv(which is 50% of the way to the trash can, setting near my door). Mrs "no name" was above him and he was turning around trying to look up at her. The shutter was down to 1/8 of a second. I'm guessing that is half the reason his face is soft. The other is the fact his nose is about right on the lens, and inside the minimum focusing distance. That's what sucks about this lens and idea, to get the streched perspective you pretty much have to get inside that range. I need a fisheye lens I guess.

See, plenty of room in there. He's a funny cat. His days and moods are timed perfectly. I know exactly how he'll be by what time it is. When I come home in the afternoon he is very friendly and willing to be pet. Later in the night, not so much so. He's quickly gotten too big and is now on a diet of sorts.

LOL. I was playing with her the other night, with a toy and string. She will run and run and run. Well she stops running and I can see her panting for a bit. Since I had the camera out for this today I had to repeat it. She only does it for a couple seconds then she's done. Then she'll usually walk over to the chair and lay down, saying she's had enough. She is one of those persistent lovey lovey cats. If I have the recliner back she doesn't want my lap, she insists on my chest up by my face. The second she is on you she's purring like mad. You can tell when she has fallen asleep as the purring stops. She does something I've never seen any other cat do. She sleeps like a ROCK. When she is in deep sleep mode she is literally hard to wake up. I can sit there and lift her chin up and let it fall back down over and over. I can grab her belly and shake her. The other night I did both of those and she was not waking up. I then put my thumbs on her eyes trying to pry them open. Not hard or anything, just trying to get the lids to open a little by pushing back and up. This did not even wake her. You could see her eyes rolled up way back in there. You can then flip her head back and forth side to side...and nothing. It's only when you really pick her up or make a loud noise she'll come to. It's pretty funny to see. I should tape it and put it on youtube.

I'm now out at my parent's place. This is Siss above Jon.

Like Jon has always done and will do till the day he dies, he snaps at the cats. It's some nervous thing he does. I'm guessing he's been bugged a time or two, by the cats. Just before this he was walking under the table and sure enough, Siss rolled over and paw'd him as he went by. He doesn't snap on them(most of the time), but just right by their heads. He does it then nips on his own leg. Siss is very used to it and it does not phase her, even when he touches her while doing it. We've tried and tried to get him to stop, but it's pointless. So I saw him walking around me and about to go by her, so I encouraged him. I was like, "Jon, get Siss". He walks by and does a one snapper and continues on. This is the one snap. It looks a whole lot worse than it is. If she's on the ground and he does it, she'll just roll over and hold her paw out to his nose, sort of like, "whatever".

"Hey Mike, I'm all ears!" If you get something close to this lens it really streches it. Roy here.

CRAZY Sally. She's not crazy at all and is a lot like my newest cat. She's the type that loves to be pet and purrs loudly. She heard a noise in this shot, which I guess makes her look crazy.

This is the 3rd addition to my apartment pets. Not. I was leaving my parent's, heading back home when I saw this guy at the end of the driveway. He was on the rocks as I stopped next to him. He then went up the tree. I was like, surely he's not going to wait for me to dig my camera out and put the telephoto lens on...but he did.

Good thing I don't see these when I take the dogs for a walk. They chase rabits but never catch them. This guy however they'd have in no time. He just wasn't the quickest thing in the woods.

He even let me walk through the noisey leaves to get this shot. As slow and clumbsy as he looked, I wasn't sure I wouldn't scare him right off the branch. Hmmm, it's almost 2 a.m. right now as I finish this page. Why do I get the feeling I'm going to have some super strange dream about this guy now. Probably because the other night I dreamed I watched the space shuttle landing down the street I used to live on. It touched down right by me, continued towards my old house....where it blew up. Before that one I was chasing on a train(that works real well). As many strange ones as I've had recently, I can be sure I'll be seeing Mr. Possum again here in a bit. My guess is I'll be stuck on the shuttle this time and he'll be the one flying the thing. Ok, now I'm being REAL dumb, trying to imagine what the dream will be. I'm assuring I'll actually have one by doing this. I remembered why I had the shuttle one. I am 99% sure it was from playing Halo 3 and the part where the ship kept landing on me cause I didn't get out of the way soon enough. Anyway...
