January 29, 2008 Local Snow Storm Page 2

I went home for a bit to eat, wondering how good any sundog ops would be, with all this blowing snow. I then spotted one out my window and took off. It was pretty nuts north of highway 30 now, along I29. It's flat and open out there.

That white haze above the horizon is all blowing snow. I get the bright idea to head up to Murray Hill and look down on the blowing snow, but I knew it'd be nearly impossible to walk up there without freezing. Good thing it sucked from up there. I walked to the first spot, got one picture(not on here) and ran back down.

Nice sundogs now, with weak halo.

Closer shot of the blowing snow out on the horizon.

Just an all around cool scene, with downright brutal conditions to be out in.

Heading back south, north of Mondamin I think.
