*More or less this is going to be for the person very new to photography. I'm not sure what others would or would not get from it.* This video contains pretty much everything I know on photography and editing. I've never claimed to be a pro at either, as I'm not really. I have learned plenty to get by with by now though. The problem I always found looking for tutorials online, is the massive amount of things that don't matter, that you'd have to sort through. Then you still are left a bit empty. It's nice to have *a lot* of all you need to know in one place and that is what I tried to do here. If you already have knowledge on the two subjects, it's probably not for you. But consider it is 3 hours of info. This 3 hours is made by me trying to remember every single thing I know and include it. Starts with a bit over an hour of how to run a camera. Then ends with almost 2 hours of image editing stuff. Some of the editing one would need photoshop to do themselves. But much of it I'm sure is available in the other editors out there or the cheaper photoshop elements. If you are newer to photography and wondering how things work, you should be able to learn a ton from this video. In the camera talk section I try to go over every single aspect of the camera as I could think to. I'm using a DSLR(Canon T2i) but a lot of the point and shoot cameras out there have the same controls and options. So you surely wouldn't need a DSLR to get something from this section. Consider it's a bit over an hour long, so there is plenty of info being given, especially for the person newer to it all. Running a camera really isn't rocket science, but there are some things to learn. Hopefully for the person new to photography I made it easy enough to quickly understand the majority of what you'd need to know. There are video series or collections, to explain editing. Same with books, many large books to cover editing aspects. So it's not like one can get a 2hr video and have it all explained. Most people won't even have all the knowledge to "explain all of photo editing". It's a vast vast subject. But in this 2 hour section on this dvd for photo editing, I tried to pack in every single thing *I* know. I don't like to learn more than I have to and am happy once I can get things were I want them. I did toss in some background stuff, like bit depth stuff. But really, it's 2 hours of all I've ever done in photo editing. Plenty on masking which is tremendously useful. Again, it's going to be highly informative to the person new to it all. This is all why I called it Photography and Editing 101+ . It's all the basic info extended out to all I personally know and do. The camera talk section I'm holding the camera in front of the video camera as I stand behind the video camera. I go over every thing on there I could. The editing section I have the video camera recording my monitor as I go over things and point. It would have been nice to have had this video back when I was new to it all, this much I know, obviously. I should know more than I do 9 years into things, but at the same time, I've learned as much as I think I need to know. That is on this video. 3 hours of info, $25 shipped, should be hard to beat for the newbie looking for how to on it all. It will probably make you want the full version of photoshop though. |
